Beginner Sewing (weekend option)
In this 3 session class you will learn the basics of sewing. At the end of 3 sessions, you will have the basic skills needed to move on to more projects!
- Week 1 – Make a shopping bag
- Week 2 – Make a pillow case
- Week 3 – Make a placemat
- Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy)
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot is highly recommended)
- Extra machine needles (size 80/12 is universal)
- Bobbins
- Thread
- A fabric marking pen/pencil
- Scissors
- Rotary cutter (45mm)
- Seam ripper
- Straight Pins
- Ruler (I recommend a 6inch x 24inch quilting ruler) I do have a couple of these available at the shop for student use but if you have one, please bring one.
You will receive a 10% discount on fabric & supplies purchased at our shop for this class.

| Instructor Bio: | Roxanne enjoyed a career as an educator, so it was natural for her to fall into instructing quilting. She has been sewing for 40+ years and quilting like it's sustenance since 2008. Roxanne loves the whole quilting process planning, selecting fabrics, changing patterns to suit her needs, sewing, quilting, and finishing. She loves the math that?s involved, enjoys all techniques but is always looking for a more efficient and usually easier way to do things. |
