The Bookcase Quilt
Grab your favorite fabric scraps and join Roxanne in making the Bookcase Quilt!! You will use a variety or techniques including traditional piecing and applique.
Finished size will vary depending on your needs, the quilt shown is 47"x63".
Standard Supplies List:
- Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy)
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot and an open toe or satin stitch foot)
- Extra machine needles (universal size 80/12 or 90/14)
- Bobbins
- Thread for piecing (I recommend 100% cotton 50 weight thread in a neutral colour)
- A fabric marking pen/pencil
- Scissors
- Rotary cutter (45mm)
- Seam ripper
- Straight Pins
- Quilting Pins (like large safety pins)
- Rulers (I recommend a 6inch x 24inch quilting ruler) I do have a couple of rulers available at the shop for student use but if you have one, please bring one.

| Instructor Bio: | Roxanne enjoyed a career as an educator, so it was natural for her to fall into instructing quilting. She has been sewing for 40+ years and quilting like it is sustenance since 2008. Roxanne loves the whole quilting process planning, selecting fabrics, changing patterns to suit her needs, sewing, quilting, and finishing. She loves the math that's involved, enjoys all techniques but is always looking for a more efficient and usually easier way to do things. |
