Flying Geese Workshop with Donna
You will learn two methods to make Flying Geese. One method makes one Flying Geese block and the second method makes 4 Flying Geese blocks at a time. The class includes learning how to calculate what size to cut fabric and how to sew, press, square up the blocks and how to sew them together. This is a good skill building class since Flying Geese are used in various quilt blocks and in borders.
Please bring the following standard supplies:- Sewing machine in good working order. Please bring your Owner’s Manual.
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot is highly recommended)
- Extra machine needles (size 80/12 or 90/14)
- Bobbins
- Basic sewing supplies – thread in a colour that contrasts with your fabric, pins, seam ripper, scissors, 6 1/2” square (or larger) ruler
- 6 x 12” or 6 x 24” inch ruler
- Rotary cutter with sharp blade
- Pencil or fabric marking pen
- Notebook, if you want to take your own notes

| Instructor Bio: | Donna has been quilting for many years. "There is so much to learn and try with quilting that I can never get tired of quilting." She enjoys a variety of quilting techniques, as well as learning new techniques and new ways to do the "old" techniques. She especially enjoys sewing days and retreats where she can sew and learn and have a laugh. |
