Beginner Quilting with Jennifer - Skill Building Sampler Quilt

At the end of this 6 week class, you will have a snuggly lap sized quilt measuring 50.5" x 50.5".
What to Bring
Basic Sewing Supplies
- Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy)
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot & a walking foot are highly recommended)
- Extra machine needles (universal size 80/12 or 90/14)
- Bobbins
- Thread for piecing (I recommend 100% cotton 50 weight thread in a light neutral colour)
- A fabric marking pen/pencil
- Scissors for snipping thread
- Rotary cutter (45mm)
- Seam ripper
- Straight Pins
- Curved Quilting Pins (about 200)
- Ruler (I recommend a 6inch x 24inch quilting ruler) I do have a couple of these available at the shop for student use but if you have one, please bring one.
Project Specific supplies
Kits using solids are avialble for $85.00, please let us know well in advance if you would like a kit. Kits do not include batting or backing.
- Main Fabric – 12 fat quarters in various colours (solids or blenders are recommended, avoid geometric or directional prints)
- Sashing – 1 meter
- Border & Binding – 1.25 meters
- Backing & Batting – Will be discussed in the first class

| Instructor Bio: | Jennifer has always loved and admired handmade quilts. A few years ago, she took her first class, and in that class, she realized she had been missing out on quilting for far too many years. Her love for quilting has been fast and furious, she has taken numerous classes and workshops to develop her skills. She has made countless quilts, tote bags, mug rugs, table runners, and placemats etc. In 2021 she began sharing her love of quilting through teaching. |
