Retreat Bag with Roxanne
We all need a bag for sewing/knitting projects, toiletries, and craft items. The Retreat Bag is perfect, it has space for lots of stuff! Join Roxanne for some Saturday sewing and make this sweet retreat bag.

Standard Supplies List
- Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot, zipper foot and a walking foot are required)
- Extra machine needles (universal size 80/12 or 90/14)
- Bobbins
- Thread for quilting and top stitching to match your pretty & lining fabric.
- A fabric marking pen/pencil
- Scissors for snipping thread
- Rotary cutter (45mm)
- Seam ripper
- Straight Pins
- Ruler (I recommend a 6inch x 24inch quilting ruler) I do have a couple of these available at the shop for student use but if you have one, please bring one.
- The shop has irons, ironing boards, rulers and cutting mats available for your use.
- ½ meter pretty fabric (outside of bag)
- ½ meter of lining fabric
- 20”x20” squares of Annies Soft & Stable OR quilt batting
- 20”x20” squares of muslin
- 1, 24” zipper
- 1, large retreat bag frame
- Optional: Webbing for handles 1 meter

| Instructor Bio: | Roxanne enjoyed a career as an educator, so it was natural for her to fall into instructing quilting. She has been sewing for 40+ years and quilting like it's sustenance since 2008. Roxanne loves the whole quilting process planning, selecting fabrics, changing patterns to suit her needs, sewing, quilting, and finishing. She loves the math that's involved, enjoys all techniques but is always looking for a more efficient and usually easier way to do things. |
