Snowman Table Runner
Join Roxanne for two evenings and make this adorable snowman table runner! Runner finishes at approx. 19" x 41". Techniques used are traditional piecing and applique.
What to Bring
General Supplies:
- Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy)
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot and an open toe foot are highly recommended)
- Extra machine needles (universal size 80/12 or 90/14)
- Bobbins
- Thread for piecing (I recommend 100% cotton 50 weight thread in a neutral colour)
- A fabric marking pen/pencil
- Scissors for snipping thread
- Rotary cutter (45mm)
- Seam ripper
- Straight Pins
- Ruler (I recommend a 6inch x 24inch quilting ruler, a 4.5" or larger square ) I do have a couple of these available at the shop for student use but if you have one, please bring one.
- Background Fabric (Grey) – ¾ meter
- Sashing and Binding (red) – ½ meter
- HST’s & Snowmen (white) – ½ meter
- Black (Hats) – ¼ meter or 1 fat quarter
- Heat & Bond Lite or Steam a Seam Lite 2 - 0.5 meter
- Orange (Noses) – 1/8 meter or scraps
- 12 small black buttons
- Thread – white, orange, black
- Backing fabric- 5/8 meter (25” x WOF)
- Batting – 1 piece at least 25” x 45”

| Instructor Bio: | Roxanne enjoyed a career as an educator, so it was natural for her to fall into instructing quilting. She has been sewing for 40+ years and quilting like it is sustenance since 2008. Roxanne loves the whole quilting process planning, selecting fabrics, changing patterns to suit her needs, sewing, quilting, and finishing. She loves the math that’s involved, enjoys all techniques but is always looking for a more efficient and usually easier way to do things. |
