Posh Series 3 - Posh Sunflower
Next up in our Posh Wall Hanging Series — the Posh Sunflower! Join Roxanne for this fun two-day class and create a bright, cheerful sunflower wall hanging that measures 28” × 42”. It’s the perfect project to bring a little sunshine into your home — and it’ll look beautiful hanging up all spring and summer long! This class is traditional piecing with curves, no applique.
What to Bring
General Supplies:
- Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy)
- Sewing Machine foot attachments (a ¼” foot and a walking foot will be beneficial for this class)
- Extra machine needles (universal size 80/12 or 90/14)
- Bobbins
- A fabric marking pen/pencil
- Scissors for snipping thread
- Rotary cutter (45mm)
- Seam ripper
- Straight Pins
- A pen/pencil & notebook for taking notes
- A 6”x24” ruler and a square ruler 4.5” or larger
Project specific supplies:
- 0.25 meters yellow 1
- 0.25 meters yellow 2
- 3, 1/8 meter cuts assorted purple fabrics
- 3, 1/8 meter cuts assorted green fabrics
- 8, 0.25 meters assorted blue background fabrics
- 1/3 meter binding fabric
- Mini Quick Curve Ruler (available for purchase at Jennifer’s Quilt Shop)
- Thread & bobbins for piecing in a light neutral colour
- IMPORTANT - you must have your fabric cut before arriving to class. Cutting instructions will be sent by email at least 2 weeks prior to the class start date.

| Instructor Bio: | With a long career as an educator, it was only natural for Roxanne to find her way into teaching quilting. She has been sewing for more than 40 years and has been quilting with passion and purpose since 2008. Roxanne loves every part of the quilting process—planning, choosing fabrics, adapting patterns, sewing, quilting, and finishing. She has a particular fondness for the math behind quilting, enjoys exploring different techniques, and is always on the lookout for more efficient (and often easier!) ways to do things. |
